احمد شهید، گزارشگر ویژه حقوق بشر سازمان ملل متحد در امور ایران گفت: "محکومیت و حکم‌های سنگین (علیه) مدافعان حقوق بشر، نشانه‌ای از افزایش (روند) سرکوب فعالان در زمینه دفاع از حقوق بشر در ایران است."

گزارشگران حقوق بشر سازمان ملل متحد به طور مشخص، نسبت به وضعیت نرگس محمدی، عضو کانون مدافعان حقوق بشرT ابراز نگرانی کرده‌اند.

بر اساس گزارش‌ها، خانم محمدی که "وضعیت جسمی نگران‌کننده‌ای" دارد، روز شنبه، دوم اردیبهشت، توسط ماموران امنیتی در خانه پدریش در زنجان بازداشت شد. گفته شده که او برای گذراندن ۶ سال حبس، به زندان اوین منتقل شده است.

در بیانیه برنامه نظارت بر حمایت از مدافعان حقوق بشر آمده است که محمدعلی دادخواه، وکیل دادگستری و عضو موسس کانون مدافعان حقوق بشر در ایران، روز دهم اردیبهشت امسال و زمانی که برای دفاع از موکلش به دادگاه رفته بود، "اطلاع یافته که حکم محکومیت او به ۹ سال زندان و ۱۰ سال محرومیت از اشتغال به حرفه وکالت و تدریس، در مرحله تجدیدنظر تایید شده است."

گزارش شده است که قاضی دادگاه به استناد حکم دادگاه تجدیدنظر، مانع دفاع آقای دادخواه از موکلش شده است و "آقای دادخواه هر لحظه در خطر دستگیری به سر می‌برد."

طبق این بیانیه، "نسرین ستوده در حال گذراندن محکومیت ۶ سال زندان است؛ نرگس محمدی محکومیت ۶ سال زندان را می‌گذراند و با آزار و فشار اضافی وزارت اطلاعات روبروست؛ محمد سیف‌زاده در حالی که محکومیت ۲ سال زندان را می‌گذراند، با اتهام‌های تازه روبروست و عبدالفتاح سلطانی، هنوز در انتظار نتیجه اعتراض خود به محکومیت ۱۸ سال زندان در تبعید در شهر برازجان (در استان بوشهر) و ۲۰ سال محرومیت از اشتغال به حرفه وکالت، در بازداشت خودسرانه به سر می‌برد."

برنامه نظارت بر حمایت از مدافعان حقوق بشر اضافه کرده است: "اعضای دیگر کانون مدافعان حقوق بشر نیز پس از تعطیلی این کانون در آذر ۱۳۸۷ قربانی پرونده‌سازی بوده‌اند و عبدالرضا تاجیک، پس از تایید محکومیت ۶ سال زندان در مرحله تجدیدنظر، ناگزیر از ترک کشور شد."

سوهیر بالحسن، رییس فدراسیون بین‌المللی جامعه‌های حقوق بشر گفته است: "نگرانی ما این است که آزار و تعقیب کانون مدافعان حقوق بشر و تلاش برای خاموش کردن اعضای آن افزایش یابد."

جرالد استابرک، دبیرکل سازمان جهانی مبارزه با شکنجه نیز گفته است: "دولتمردان در ایران تمام تلاش خود را به کار می‌برند تا با صدور حکم‌های سنگین زندان، تبعید و محرومیت از اشتغال به حرفه، مدافعان حقوق بشر را به سکوت وادارند. تمام این اقدامات برای ترساندن کل جامعه و استقرار سکوتی مرگبار در آن انجام می‌گیرد."

برنامه نظارت بر حمایت از مدافعان حقوق بشر همچنین از دولتمردان ایران خواسته است تا تمام مدافعان حقوق بشر را که در بازداشت خودسرانه به سر می‌برند، آزاد کنند و مفاد اعلامیه سازمان ملل متحد درباره مدافعان حقوق بشر، اعلامیه جهانی حقوق بشر و معاهده‌های بین‌المللی حقوق بشر را که ایران تصویب کرده است، رعایت کنند.

بر اساس گزارش‌ها، محمدعلی دادخواه، وکیل دادگستری، روز دهم اردیبهشت امسال و زمانی که برای دفاع از ارژنگ داوودی، زندانی سیاسی که به محاربه متهم است، به دادگاه رفته بود، از طریق قاضی ابوالقاسم صلواتی، قاضی شعبه ۱۵ دادگاه انقلاب اسلامی، در جریان صدور حکم دادگاه تجدیدنظر قرار گرفته است.

آقای دادخواه روز جمعه، ۱۵ اردیبهشت، به بی‌بی‌سی فارسی گفت: "زمانی که (برای دفاع از موکل) در دادگاه حاضر شدم، قاضی صلواتی گفت که حکم قبلی من قطعی شده است و به همین دلیل نمی‌توانم از موکلم دفاع کنم."

او گفت که طبق حکم دادگاه بدوی، به جز ۹ سال زندان، برای ۱۰ سال از وکالت و تدریس حتی در آموزشکده های خصوصی محروم شده است و باید جزای نقدی نیز بپردازد، ضمن آن که دادگاه بدوی او را به شلاق نیز محکوم کرده بود که ظاهرا این حکم به جزای نقدی تبدیل شده است.

قاضی صلواتی، قضاوت دادگاه بدوی محمدعلی دادخواه را به عهده داشته است.
