تابلوفرشهای نقش برجسته و تابلوفرشهای حجمی كه به اشكال مختلف هندسی بافته می شوند نیز از دیگر جذابیتهای صنایع دستی تبریز می باشد كه ابداع خود تبریزیها است.

كمتر كسی است كه به تبریز و آذربایجان شرقی سفر كند و سراغ بازار فرش فروشان را در بازار جهانی تبریز نگیرد.

نقره كاری یا حكاكی روی نقره تبریز از دیگر صنایع دستی این خطه از میهن اسلامی است كه مورد استقبال اقشار مختلف جامعه قرار می گیرد. بنابر نقل قولهای مختلف نقره كاری تبریز كه اخیرا نیز رواج زیادی پیدا كرده بهترین نوع نقره كاری در جهان است.

حكاكی روی نقره بر روی ورقه هایی از آلیاژ نقره و مس پس از پیاده كردن طرح اولیه، با قلمزنی و بنا به ضرورت طرح، برشكاری، خم كاری، لحیم كاری و در نهایت كمك گرفتن از برخی توانمندیهای علوم و فنون مختلف همچون فعالیتهای شیمیایی در قالب برخی ظروف، وسایل و تابلوهای هنری و غیره انجام می شود.

در كنار نقره كاری هنر دستی دیگری نیز به نام نقره كوبی در آذربایجان شرقی رواج دارد كه در آن نقره با انجام سوراخكاری بر روی چوب و هسته میوه های مختلف در نقطه مورد نظر جاگذاری شده و سپس پرداخت زده می شود.

نقره سازی نیز از دیگر صنایع دستی وابسته به نقره است كه ساخت زیورآلات، ظروف كاربردی و تزیینی، آینه و شمعدان و قاب عكس از جمله آثار تولیدی در این شاخه است.

همچنین چاپ كلاقه‌ ای اسكو یا باتیك یكی از روشهای چاپ بر روی پارچه است كه از قدیم در كشورهایی مانند اندونزی، تایلند، سریلانكا، هند و ایران كاربرد داشته‌ اند.

در چاپ كلاقه‌ ای تمام طرحها و رنگها با استفاده از واكس و عملیات رنگرزی به روی پارچه منتقل می‌شود. رنگهای بكار رفته برای این نوع چاپ رنگهای گیاهی مانند روناس، اسپرك، پوست انار و زردچوبه است.

محصولات چرمین تبریز نیز از صنایع دستی این خطه است كه از دیرباز شهره عام و خاص بوده و اكنون نیز مورد علاقه شیكپوشان است.

كیف، كفش، پوشاك و برخی اقلام خانگی محصولاتی است كه از چرم تبریز دوخته می شود و به دلیل كیفیت عالی آن همواره به كشورهای اروپایی صادر شده است.

سبدبافی، سوزندوزی، سفالگری، معرقكاری، گلیم بافی و ساخت تابلوسنگهای باارزش نیز از دیگر صنایع دستی جذاب آذربایجان شرقی است كه هركدام در یكی از شهرستانهای این استان رواج داشته و مورد اقبال مسافران نیز واقع می شود.

در دسته خوراكیهای آذربایجان شرقی نیز بدون شك این استان یكی از استانهای مستعد است كه شیرینیها و غذاهای آن در سراسر كشور مشهور می باشد.

قورابیه، نوقا، میانپر، لاتیقوم(راحت الحلقوم)، ریس، شیرینی كنجدی، سوجوق، باسلیق، شكلات تسبیحی، عسل و دوشاب در بخش خوراكیهای شیرین و نیز پنیر لیقوان، ترشی زغال اخته و آجیل تبریز در سایر ذائقه های می تواند سوغاتی خوبی برای مسافران این استان باشد.

همچنین غذاهای متنوع و خوشمزه این استان می تواند در طول سفر گردشگران به آذربایجان شرقی پذیرای ذائقه های مختلف باشد. كوفته تبریزی، كباب بناب، انواع آشهای محلی، قارنی یاریخ، انواع كوكو، شوربا، دلمه و بورانی از جمله این غذاهای خوش طعم و زبانزد است.

انجمن پزشکی بریتانیا، اتحادیه صنفی پزشکان این کشور، یک جلسه اضطراری برگزار کرده است تا در خصوص آغاز جریان رای گیری از پزشکان برای اعتصاب تصمیمگیری کند.

آخرین و تنها باری که انجمن پزشکی بریتانیا برای اعتصاب پزشکان رای گیری کرده بود در سال ۱۹۷۵، یعنی ۳۷ سال پیش بوده است.

اختلاف پزشکان با دولت بر سر تغییرات در کسور بازنشستگی آنهاست. بر اساس تغییراتی که دولت بریتانیا می خواهد اعمال کند، پزشکان باید تا سقف ۱۴.۵ در صد از حقوق خود را به صندوق بازنشستگی واریز کنند.

سن بازنشستگی پزشکان هم، به موجب طرح دولت، به ۶۸ سال افزایش خواهد یافت.

با این که دولت بریتانیا گفته است که ادامه وضعیت موجود به لحاظ اقتصادی ممکن نیست، انجمن پزشکی بریتانیا گفته است که عصبانیت از طرح افزایش سهم بازنشستگی پزشکان بسیار گسترده است.

این انجمن می گوید دو سوم پزشکانی که به یک نظرسنجی پاسخ داده اند، گفته اند در صورت افزایش یافتن سهم بازنشستگی، آماده یک حرکت اعتصابی هستند.

انجمن پزشکی بریتانیا که یکصد و سی هزار عضو دارد، گفته است که خواستار ادامه گفتگو با دولت بوده است اما دولت به درخواست گفتگو پاسخ نداده است.

اندرو لنزلی، وزیر بهداری بریتانیا، گفته است که افزایش سهم پرداختی پزشکان برای صندوق بازنشستگی یک افزایش منصفانه بوده است.

یازده تبعه ایرانی شب گذشته پس از ورود به استان حاتای تركیه در مقر فرماندهی ژاندارمری این استان اسكان یافته بودند.

رسانه های خبری تركیه روز سه شنبه از آزادی 11 ایرانی ربوده شده در سوریه خبر دادند.

11 تبعه ایرانی كه توسط گروهی موسوم به 'ارتش آزاد سوریه' ربوده شده بودند با میانجیگری تركیه آزاد شدند.

این گروه مسلح از گروههای مخالف دولت سوریه ' به شمار می رود.

در دو ماه اخیر 7مهندس و 22زائر ایرانی توسط گروههای مخالف دولت سوریه در خاك این كشور ربوده شده اند.
