به گزارش خبرنگار سیاسی ایرنا، آیت‌الله 'محمدرضا مهدوی كنی' امروز (جمعه) پس از انداختن رای خود در صندوق شماره 151 در دانشگاه امام صادق(ع) در جمع خبرنگاران، شجاعت در قانون‌گذاری و نظارت بر اجرای درست قانون را از مهم ترین وظایف نمایندگان مجلس برشمرد و گفت: نمایندگان مجلس نباید از برخورد صحیح با موارد تخلف در زمینه اجرای قوانین هراس داشته باشند.

وی خطاب به منتخبان ملت اظهارداشت: مردم به این امید در پای صندوق‌های رای حاضر شده‌اند كه نمایندگان آنها در مجلس بتوانند مشكلات كشور را در مسیر قانون‌گذاری و نظارت بر كارهای اجرایی حل كنند.

رییس مجلس خبرگان رهبری ادامه داد: مهم است این است كه نمایندگان در جهت تصویب قوانین مفید برای همه كشور فعالیت كنند و نباید این تصور وجود داشته باشد كه نمایندگان یك شهرستان و یك منطقه فقط مسوول رسیدگی به امور آن منطقه هستند، بلكه نمایندگان مجلس در واقع نماینده همه مردم ایران هستند و باید به فكر همه باشند.
