در پی انتقاد خانه کارگر از خودداری دولت از صدور مجوز راهپیمایی روز کارگر، مصطفی محمد نجار وزیر کشور از این تشکل کارگری خواسته که درخواست برگزاری راهپیمایی روز کارگر را به وزارت کشور بدهد.

آقای محمد نجار به خبرگزاری دانشجویان ایران، ایسنا گفته که "باید خانه کارگر درخواست (راهپیمایی) خود را مطرح کند و این درخواست طبق قانون مطرح می شود و توسط استانداری و وزارت کشور نتیجه به آنها اعلام می شود."

هفته گذشته علی دهقان کیا، عضو هیات مدیره کانون شوراهای اسلامی کار استان تهران با انتقاد از دولت گفته بود که دولت در پنج سال گذشته مجوز راهپیمایی روز کارگر، را به "دلایل سیاسی"نداده است.

آقای دهقان کیا گفته بود که بعد از دوران ریاست جمهوری محمد خاتمی، کارگران به سختی مجوز قانونی برگزاری تجمع گرفته‌اند.

اما وزیر کشور می گوید که "طبق قانون، اگر تشکلی بخواهد تجمع یا راهپیمایی داشته باشد باید درخواست خود را اعلام کند."

به گزارش خبرگزاری کار ایران، حسن صادقی، معاون دبیرکل خانه کارگر، گفته که روز کارگر صرفا یک روز نمادین نیست بلکه "این روز، روز طرح و پی گیری مطالبات معوقه کارگران است که تمام کارگران دنیا این روز را گرامی داشته و در ایران نیز از بعد انقلاب دولتها هر یک با دیدگاه سیاسی خاص تلاش کردند تا حتی الامکان کارگران بتوانند در این روز هم سو با جامعه جهانی کارگران، ابراز وجود کنند و هویت آزاد اندیشی در نظام اسلامی را به مرحله ظهور برسانند."

معاون دبیر کل خانه کارگربا بیان این که "متاسفانه از سال ۸۶ ما شاهد عدم همکاری از جانب دولت پیرامون این روز مهم هستیم" ابراز امیدواری کرده که دولت امسال اجازه برگزاری راهپیمایی را در روز کارگر بدهد.

گزارشها نشان می دهد که خانه کارگر و برخی تشکل های نزدیک به حکومت همواره خواستار برگزاری راهپیمایی به خصوص در روز جهانی کارگر، اول ماه مه (یازدهم اردیبهشت) بوده اند و امسال نیز درخواست خود را ارائه کرده اند ولی وزیر کشور می گوید که "نمی دانم که آیا آنها در خواست (راهپیمایی) کرده اند یا نه"

اول ماه مه در بسیاری از کشورهای جهان روز کارگر نامیده می شود و اتحادیه‌های کارگری به مناسبت این روز راهپیمایی برگزار می‌کنند، روز جهانی کارگر در ایران ۱۱ اردیبهشت برگزار می‌شود.

طبق اصل ۲۷ قانون اساسی ایران، تشکیل اجتماعات و راهپیمایی، بدون حمل سلاح، به شرطی که مخل به مبانی اسلام نباشد آزاد است و برخی از کارشناسان حقوقی گفته اند که چنین راهپیمایی‌هایی حتی نیازمند کسب مجوز از دولت نیست.

علی راستگو، دبیر اجرایی خانه کارگر شیراز نیز به خبرگزاری کار گفته که با دادن مجوز "باید صدای کارگرانی که بر اثر سیاست‌های اقتصادی دولت جایگاه خود را از دست داده‌اند در راهپیمایی روز جهانی کارگر شنیده شود."

آقای راستگو تاکید کرده که "وزارت کشور به تقاضای کارگران مبنی بر برگزاری راهپیمایی روز کارگر توجه کند و مجوز راهپیمایی را که در آن خواسته‌های صنفی کارگران مطرح می‌شود صادر کند."

خانه کارگر که به عنوان شاخه کارگری حزب جمهوری اسلامی در دهه ۶۰ خورشیدی آغاز به فعالیت کرد، پس از انحلال این حزب به عنوان تشکلی کارگری در وزارت کشور به ثبت رسید.

خانه کارگر و شورای اسلامی کار از سوی کارگران به دلیل جذب حمایت های مالی از واحد های صنعتی دولتی متهم شده اند که نهادهایی "شبه دولتی" هستند و سازمان بین المللی کار هم آنها را تشکل های مستقل کارگری نمی داند.

فعالیت سندیکاها در ایران ممنوع است و بعضی از اعضای هیئت مدیره سندیکای کارگران شرکت واحد بازداشت و وزارت کار فعالیت سندیکاها را غیر قانونی اعلام کرده است.

این در شرایطی است که در ماه های پایانی دولت محمد خاتمی اصلاحیه ای برای فصل ششم قانون کار ایران، مربوط به نحوه فعالیت تشکل های کارگری، تهیه شد.

هدف از این اصلاحیه، رسمیت بخشیدن به فعالیت سندیکاهای مستقل کارگری بود اما این اصلاحیه با روی کار آمدن دولت آقای احمدی نژاد مسکوت ماند.
